Langford Island

Langford Island bushwalk Whitsunday

Situated opposite Hayman Island and being one of the most picturesque Whitsunday Islands with its long sand cay and tropical green bluff at the other end. A great spot for first time snorkelers or divers, with easy access to its fringing reef from the beach and shallow waters.

Langford Island is a Marine National Park Green Zone, as such it offers:

  • abundant marine life
  • coral viewing
  • wonderful birdlife

With the many natural wonders found here, this is also a popular spot to enjoy sun baking and swimming, exploring the island on a low tide and sunset drinks and picnics.

Hot Tip

Also known as ‘One Foot Island’ at high tide the sand cay almost disappears! At low tide you can walk the length of the sand cay to the island itself which makes for some good photo opportunities.
