Our fifth charter in the beautiful Whitsunday Islands was a return to Whitsunday Escape.
Firstly, the booking process was easy, with all enquiries answered promptly and fully.
We had a sleep aboard our boat ‘No Regrets’ the night before the charter began and this meant we were able to stow provisions and become familiar with the boat before the briefing next morning.
We were in Airlie Beach for a couple of days before the charter so we provisioned the boat ourselves, using Coles Click and Collect, Master Butchers, Fishi and Prickly Pineapple for fruit and veg. A bit of running around, but very doable to get what you want and planning the menu was part of the fun! They are all geared up for boat provisioning and with notice will cryovac, freeze and generally get the food ready for a boat.
The boat itself was a pleasure - clean and everything worked. The design of the saloon area meant it could be totally opened up and this was great in the hot weather. The galley was even nice and breezy! Two of the bedrooms could sleep couples, but the third bedroom would only be suitable for a child. We were 4 adults and one ended up sleeping in the saloon area as the smaller cabin was stuffy and too ‘cosy’ in the conditions. No problem, tho, he slept well.
Note one of the two bathrooms is significantly larger than the other and we ended up all having our showers in the bigger one.
The charter itself was perfect. Mooring and overnighting at Chalkies and Blue Pearl Bay was a highlight as we’d never been able to do this before, due to wind conditions. Swimming, snorkelling and generally enjoying this beautiful part of the world over the week, which went too quickly.
It’s a great way to spend family time together and with some care, common sense and problem solving abilities it will be a trouble free holiday you will remember.
Our family of six spent two weeks on Seawind catamaran "No Regrets".
Awesome experience - great support - would recommend this holiday for all seeking an amazing adventure
