You can hire a fully-equipped sailing or power boat to skipper yourself, your family and friends on an adventure around the 74 islands of the Whitsundays.
Whitsunday Escape offers a diverse fleet of boats that all have between two and four cabins, most with ensuites. Whether it’s just two of you, or a group of eight or more, Whitsunday Escape’s friendly reservations team can help you choose the right boat.
Boats are luxurious and come fully equipped with linen, utensils, safety equipment and all creature comforts. All you need to do is organise your food and drinks.
Wake up in a secluded bay of an uninhabited island. Take your snorkelling gear (provided free of charge) and explore the underwater world before breakfast. Fire up the boat’s BBQ and enjoy bacon and eggs on the back deck. Take a kayak and explore the shoreline. Pore over the maps and decide where to go for the day. Should it be fishing, a visit to famous Whitehaven Beach, a short bushwalk with amazing views? Perhaps a day at Hamilton or Daydream Island with a day spa treatment, a cocktail at the pool bar, followed by a restaurant dinner? The choice is yours.
You do not need formal boating qualifications or a licence, basic boating experience is sufficient, and extra tuition is available for those wanting to learn. A comprehensive briefing is part of the process with daily on-water support by Whitsunday Escape’s experienced staff.
Whitsunday Escape have been in operation for over 28 years and have won numerous Tourism Awards over that time, most recently winning the GOLD at the Queensland Tourism Awards for Unique Accommodation in 2018 and the SILVER at the Australian Tourism Awards for Unique Accommodation also in 2018.
