Whitsunday Peak view into Cid Harbour

Cid Harbour on Whitsunday Island is very popular as a first night anchorage for bareboat charters and private boats alike.

There is no swimming in Cid Harbour at any time.

This calm anchorage has beaches to explore and two bushwalks:

  • A short walk from Dugong Beach to Sawmill Bay.
  • Whitsunday Peak – for experienced walkers only. Go right up to the top, the views are worth it (take water).

Cid Harbour has quite a bit of history attached to it.  During WW2 the Allied Navy ships anchored here prior to the battle of the Coral Sea.
