Hill Inlet, at the northern end of Whitehaven Beach, is high on the bucket list of many travellers and it’s not hard to see why. The views from the lookout have been featuring on postcards of the Whitsundays and the world’s most beautiful beaches for decades.
The best place to anchor is in Tongue Bay, where there is a walking trail up to the lookout and the beach at Hill Inlet.
Plan your walk to Hill Inlet as the coral beach at Tongue Bay is only accessible from mid tide.
The walk up to the lookout is not to be missed. Set your camera to panoramic mode to capture as much of the view as you can.
