Charter the Leopard 44 Hakuna Matata… it means no worries

Please tell us you’re singing the song too! ♫

That’s exactly what you want when you go on holidays – no worries. Bareboating is the best way to have a worry free holiday.

Once you’ve stocked up the boat, you don’t have to worry about entertaining the kids, you don’t have to worry about your wallet and you don’t need to worry about where to go, because in the Whitsundays you are spoilt for choice. Just cast off and leave your worries behind!

The Leopard 44, is a near new, big 3-cabin sailing catamaran popular with families, groups of three couples, and groups of friends. The versatile layout has three double cabins and three bathrooms. On the starboard (right) side, there are two bunk beds, and in the port (left) forward cabin there is another single bunk. The extra bunk beds in this boat are a unique feature that most three cabin boats don’t have. The owners had them custom built to make sure they could fit all the kids and grandkids when they go on holidays. The dining table in the saloon also converts to another double bed if needed. With another big dining table outside in the covered cockpit you’ll enjoy eating outside al fresco every day.

This generation of Leopard catamarans has an additional unique feature, the walk though main saloon, with door to the foredeck. Not only does this allow easy access to a second cockpit at the front of the boat, it also lets the lovely sea breeze blow through the boat. The second cockpit is perfect for big groups to split up, and you can even let the kids have their own area.

The back cockpit area has a cool dinghy feature too – the dinghy is supported off the water by struts called ‘davits’, and the mechanism is electronic so all you have to do to raise or lower the dinghy is press a button!

Blue underwater lights are installed, so at night, you can light up the water surrounding your boat. This attracts fish and will keep everyone entertained. Dolphins are often drawn to the lights because the smaller fish congregate there, and they come for an easy feed.

As for sailing performance, the Leopard 44 is a nimble catamaran, designed to be fast, comfortable and stable. The raised helm station offers unobstructed visibility, and all lines run to the cockpit for easy short-handed sailing. Electric winches make raising and lowering sails an easy task for one or two people. A clever hull design creates lots of space internally, without compromising on speed. In fact, the Leopard 44 has won many awards for its innovative design.
