Provisioning
Food and drinks aren’t included in your charter, which means you can eat exactly the way you like. Your boat’s galley comes fully equipped with a gas stove, BBQ, fridges, freezer and all the cookware you need. Stock up in Airlie Beach before you depart, or let a local provider do the work for you.
Choose how you provision
There are three easy ways to stock your boat:
- Pre-made meals: chef-prepared meals and groceries delivered to the marina, so you can spend less time cooking and more time exploring
- Click & Collect or Direct to Boot: order online from Coles or Woolworths and collect on your way to the marina
- Shop locally: browse the supermarkets, butchers and markets of Airlie Beach and Cannonvale
We recommend arriving the day before and staying aboard. Your boat is ready from about 4:30pm, giving you time to shop and pack everything away before your 8:00am briefing.
Plan your menu
Plan for three meals plus snacks per person, per day, for your whole charter. Keep meals simple, as galley space is compact.
- Breakfast: cereal, fruit and yoghurt
- Lunch: wraps, cold meats and salads
- Dinner: easy one-pot meals such as pasta and curries, or BBQ meats
- Packaging: choose lightweight packaging and avoid bulk packs, as fridge and freezer space is limited
| Option | Best For | How it Works |
| Whitsunday Provisioning | Minimal cooking | Chef-prepared meals (single or 6-serve, fresh or frozen), plus groceries and drinks delivered. For an 8:00am briefing, request delivery for 7:30am |
| The Prickly Pineapple | Fresh salads and platters | Fresh salads and antipasto delivered to the marina. 0478 701 116 |
| Coles or Woolworths Click & Collect / Direct to Boot | Self-provisioning | Order online, collect on your way to the marina and chill cold goods straight away |
| Shop in person | Choosing your own | Supermarkets, butchers and markets in Airlie Beach and Cannonvale |
We don’t recommend supermarket home delivery. Drivers meet you at the Coral Sea Marina roundabout within a 2 to 4 hour window, and your boat may not be ready. If you do use it, book a window after 4:30pm on Stay Aboard night and have someone there for the whole time. We’re unable to store groceries at our office.

Restocking during your charter
Need more supplies mid-trip? Hamilton Island has an IGA supermarket and a bottle shop. Marina berthing fees apply to visit Hamilton Island.
Getting the most from your fridge and freezer
- Pack fridges full. Use water bottles or bread to fill empty space, as full fridges stay colder
- Keep doors closed as much as possible
- As food runs down, consolidate into one unit and switch off the empty one
- Boat freezers aren’t as cold as home freezers, so ice cream may not stay firm
- Ask your butcher to freeze or vacuum-pack (cryovac) your meat for a longer shelf life
Water and waste
- Your boat’s fresh water tanks are filled before you depart, and a spare 20 L water container is on board
- Tanks can only be refilled at Coral Sea Marina or Hamilton Island Marina, so use fresh water carefully
- Rubbish is stored on board and taken ashore at Coral Sea Marina or Hamilton Island. Never put food scraps or rubbish over the side
