We had the most incredible holiday with Whitsundays Escapes and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first bareboat experience. We travelled in early September and were so lucky with the weather. The islands are just magical. We’ve had some amazing family holidays over the years, but this one is definitely right up there.
Callum’s briefing was so thorough. He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to and more than happy to answer all of our questions. He also gave us lots of little extra tips which made such a difference, especially being our first time.
I had never sailed before and was probably the least experienced of everyone, but I felt comfortable almost as soon as I stepped on board. I absolutely loved the navigation side of it and even looked forward to radioing in each morning!
The boat was immaculate and everyone at Whitsundays Escapes was so friendly and helpful. Nothing felt like too much trouble. They offered us fresh towels and gave us access to the private marina bathrooms when we returned, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Jack was also amazing at the end of our charter. He helped us fuel the boat and get her moored, and made the whole return process so easy. It was such a lovely way to finish the trip.
We’re already talking about our next trip and would do it all again in a heartbeat. Couldn’t recommend Whitsundays Escapes enough!
