From campervans, horticulture and AFL – to Miss World home-made dresses, Paris Bedford is the down to earth beauty we’d all love to have next door.

Her passion for nature and the outdoors has seen her journey from Margaret River, to horticulturist on Hamilton Island and the Whitsundays. Kicking a football, and digging into her own first-home renovations are typical down-time activities. Now her focus is on raising funds for Variety Children’s Charity and she has set her target high. We’d love you to be part of the journey and shine the spotlight on Variety Children’s Charity and the Whitsundays!

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Paris Bedford, I am a Whitsunday local of 6 years and I am currently the Garden Maintenance Manager at Plants Whitsunday.

Last year I took the courage to enter the “Miss World Australia” pageant and I am honoured to announce that I have now been selected as a Queensland state finalist and will again represent our region at the National final which will be held at the Palazzo Versace Gold Coast in July.  This year the “Miss World Australia” pageant is supporting Variety – the children’s charity. Variety supports kids and families who are facing many challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with a disability.

All profits raised go to Children’s Variety.
