Whitsunday Escape Recyclable Regatta
The Great Barrier Reef Festival brings the reef to life in the heart of Airlie Beach, celebrating the Whitsundays’ unique coastal culture with four days of colour, connection, and community.
Whitsunday Escape is the naming right sponsor and coordinator of the Recyclable Regatta event for the third year, donating 80 volunteer hours.
People of all ages are invited to create a float from recycled materials and race at the Airlie Beach foreshore, as part of the main festival.
For the 2025 event we saw some incredible floats, made from an assortment of items such as milk crates, wooden pallets and plastic drums.
