Pack light and hire what you need from us. Add paddle boards, fishing gear, beach games, extra cold storage or satellite internet to your Whitsunday Escape charter, and it will be ready when you check in at Coral Sea Marina. Snorkel gear is already included for every guest, free of charge.

Snorkel gear (included)

Masks, snorkels and fins are free for every guest, including children. Send us everyone’s fin sizes before you arrive so the gear is pre-packed, then collect it from the dive shop. Stinger suits are recommended in summer and can be hired from Aqua Dive, located directly below our office. Prescription masks can be hired on arrival.

Stand up paddle boards

Paddle the calm, protected bays of the Whitsunday Islands on an inflatable stand up paddle board (SUP). You can stand, kneel or sit, so the boards suit learners and experienced paddlers, and an adult can carry a small child as a passenger. Each board comes with a paddle and a life jacket. We secure the SUPs to your boat’s lifelines, so they don’t take up deck space. Numbers are limited, so order early.

Life jackets and the ankle leash must be worn at all times. Paddle only in daylight, in winds under 10 knots, and stay within 500 m of your boat. SUP guidelines are also available onboard.

Fishing gear

Every boat in the fleet has rod holders. Hire rods and reels, handline packs and tackle boxes, and collect them from our office at check-in. For zones, species, size limits and closure dates, see Fishing in the Whitsundays.

Beach kits

Save luggage space with a beach kit for active kids (and those young at heart). Each kit includes:

• A Cool Cabana shade that pops up in seconds and anchors with sand
• A cricket set with bat, ball and wickets
• A soccer ball
• A frisbee

Everything dusts off easily, so sand stays off the boat.

Eskies

Need more cold storage? Our hire eskies are 75 L Arktos Travellers, about 1 m long and 50 cm wide, with wheels and a handle. They double as a seat for two. Check your boat’s fridge and freezer sizes on its fleet page first, as many boats already carry an esky. An extra one suits large crews, longer charters or plenty of cold drinks.

Portable Starlink internet

Stay connected for work, study or the footy with a portable Starlink unit. It supports video calls, streaming and browsing. A few things to know:

• It only works while the boat is stationary, with a clear view of the sky
• Your boat needs a suitable inverter. Check the boat’s fleet page before ordering
• One unit per boat. Test it at check-in before you leave the marina
• Service can’t be guaranteed in remote areas, but in the right conditions it’s dependable

How to order

1. Book your charter.
2. Complete the Equipment Hire Form with your surname, booking number and start date.
3. Collect your gear at check-in. SUPs are delivered and secured to your boat.
4. Return everything at the end of your charter.

Is snorkelling gear included in my charter?
Yes. Masks, snorkels and fins are free for every guest. Send us fin sizes before you arrive.

How far in advance should I order?
As early as possible. Paddle boards and Starlink units are limited and book out in peak periods.

Can I bring my own gear?
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own fishing gear, paddle boards or snorkel equipment. Talk to us first about anything large that needs securing on deck.

Can I add equipment after I’ve booked?
Yes, through the Equipment Hire Form, subject to availability. Orders cancelled within 48 hours of your charter are charged in full.

Will Starlink work on my boat?
It depends on the boat’s power setup. Check the boat’s fleet page for an inverter, or call us on 07 4946 5222.
