Every Whitsunday Escape charter starts and finishes at Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. Our office sits right on the marina, so you step from check in straight onto your boat. With cafes, restaurants and a laundromat on site, and the town a 10 minute walk away, it is an easy, relaxed place to start your holiday.

Finding our office

Our office is at the north end of Coral Sea Marina. From the roundabout, walk along the pedestrian zone past Le Kiosk Cafe. Our office is directly above the dive shop (Aqua Dive), at Suite 16. If you have mobility needs, please contact the office before arrival for support on access via the ramp.

Arrive the day before

We recommend you arrive the day before your charter starts and sleep aboard your boat at the marina. It gives you time to unwind from your travels, do your shopping, load the boat and get to know your boat before your briefing. You start day one rested, stocked and ready to sail.

Your briefing

Before you leave the marina, our team takes you through your boat, navigation, tides, anchorages and safety. You will leave knowing exactly how your boat works and where you are heading, with our team on the radio for the rest of your charter.

Coral Sea Marina facilities

Coral Sea Marina is an award-winning marina and home to many of the region’s tour operators. Everything you need before you sail is a short walk from your boat:

• Marine services: Aqua Dive (dive shop), Quadrant Marine (chandlery)

Stocking your boat

The Airlie Beach and Cannonvale supermarkets and bottle shops are close by, so you can shop the day before and load the boat at your own pace. You need to be largely self-sufficient for your charter, as there are very few places to buy supplies out on the islands.

The boardwalk from the marina takes you to the centre of Airlie Beach in about 10 minutes. Town has accommodation, shopping centres, dining and nightlife, and free activities like the Airlie Beach Lagoon.

How to get to Coral Sea Marina

• By air: fly into Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine), about a 35 minute drive from Airlie Beach, or Hamilton Island Airport, then take the ferry to the mainland.
• By car: Airlie Beach is on the coast north of Proserpine. An open-air pay-and-display car park at the South Village of Coral Sea Marina, a short walk from our office.
